Julio is the co-founder and CEO of bioaccess.™ Julio believes that Colombia represents an untapped destination for early-stage medical device clinical research and companies to enter the Latin American market and sell their innovations.
Julio has become a recognized medical device expert and is a guest author at Med Device Online and Clinical Leader, where his articles have been "Featured Editorials" on several occasions. Julio is also the host of the LATAM Medtech Leaders podcast: A weekly conversation with Medtech leaders who have succeeded in Latin America. In his earlier career, Julio worked at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD as a technology consultant assigned to a project to improve the healthcare system in Trinidad & Tobago. Before that, Julio was the co-founder and president of a successful real estate investment firm in Orlando, FL, and founded other entrepreneurial ventures in the telecom and computer industries. Before that, Julio worked for Lucent and Nortel, two of the leading global telecom and networking companies in the '90s. Julio has a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering from Saint Thomas University in Bogota, Colombia, and a master's degree in business administration (M.B.A.) from Western New England University in Springfield, MA. |
