Rebekah has worked in Human Resources and Management for thirteen years. She has worked in a variety of sectors including Fortune 500, public sector, and private sector organizations.
Rebekah is a Human Resources Specialist at Avant Healthcare Professionals, LLC. She is responsible for global HR administration for healthcare professionals within the organization. She also takes immediate action on contract issues with field staff to prevent escalation while resolving dilemmas and concerns for health care professionals. During her tenure at the company, she has created and implemented an extensive training program for new HR Specialists. She earned a B.A. degree in Business Administration and Legal Studies at University of Central Florida. While attending college she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She launched her career at Lowe’s Home Centers, Inc. where she served as a Human Resources Manager for ten years. She worked at several store locations throughout Central Florida providing her support and expertise as a Human Resources Business Partner. She efficiently drove above average employee engagement which resulted in gold star status for ten consecutive years. She also improved and increased work performance and leadership potential of women in management through research, design, and development of a mentor program. After that she worked as a Human Resources Manager for Utilities Commission, City of New Smyrna Beach Florida. There she oversaw, planned, and organized all activities of the Human Resources department. She evaluated reports, decisions, and results of established goals and recommended new approaches, policies, and procedures to establish continual improvements in the efficiency of the division. She also effectively maintained working relationships with union officials and adhered to terms of the labor contract by monitoring day-to-day implementation of policies concerning wages, hours, and working conditions. |
